About The Society

Esablished 1962, 62 years in operation around 2000+ households — providing dignified Islamic burial support across

the Eastern Cape.

Our Mission

To ensure that every Muslim household in the Eastern Cape has access to dignified, affordable burial arrangements performed according to Islamic teachings — without placing financial strain on the family during bereavement.

How We Operate

Members contribute a small monthly amount per household. When a death occurs in a registered household, the Society coordinates ghusl, kafn, transport and burial — and provides community support to the grieving family.

Household-based Contributions

Contributions are charged per household, not per individual, the amount being R60 per month or R720 per year. Whether your household has two people or ten, the monthly amount stays the same. This keeps membership accessible for large families and consistent for our administration.
